Glenroy Mervin Blanchette was born in Newtown, Basseterre, St. Kitts. He attended the Mrs. Richardson Pre-School and the Newtown Primary School before moving on to the Basseterre Junior School then the Basseterre High School. He worked for a few years at the Basseterre Sugar Factory then taught at the Cayon Primary School, Cayon High School, Basseterre High School and the Washington Archibald High School. He gained his tertiary-level education at the St. Kitts Teachers’ College, the University of the West Indies (Mona Campus) and the University of Leicester, UK.
Glenroy is a trained Geographer, Disaster Management Specialist and a lecturer at the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College in St. Kitts. He has written numerous articles on politics, environment, and is the author of The Truth About Robert L. Bradshaw. His favorite hobbies are photography, writing and singing calypso, and basketball.
